Promoting

Free Book Reviews Promotion Tips
Just some basic things we have noticed that you should do to make promotion flow seemlessly for yourself and your book(s).

BestsellerBound Recommends
BestsellerBound is a community of indie authors supporting each other in our writing and publishing journey. Darcia Helle, Maria Savva, and Stacy Juba started the group in 2010 as a way of connecting indie authors with readers. Our group now has some of the most talented indie authors in the publishing world, and we’ve established a prominent presense in the cyber world.

The Author's Red Room
Your one stop site for all things authors need. Custom designs, publishing help, advice and more, if we can't do it, we'll tell you who can.

KindleGraph
Kindlegraph allows authors to register and link their Amazon book information. Readers register and link their specific Kindle device. Then, readers can search for their favorite digital book or author and request the author’s signature. The process allows the author to electronically personalize and sign a document featuring their book cover just as if they were autographing a book. The document is then sent securely to the reader’s Kindle.

Books and Novels to Read
This website is dedicated to self published books by new and emerging authors just like myself. There used to be a stigma attached to self publishing, as though a self published book was in some way inferior to the real thing. That is no longer the case, even established authors are beginning to go down this route as they can achieve total control over the finished article without the interference of literary agents, editors and publishers. There are thousands of wonderful self published books, with new and original stories to be had, the books that the public would never get to see if it were left up to the ‘Publishing Industry.’

Book Buzzr
Over 7,000 authors have used BookBuzzr technologies to engage with Facebook fans, create buzz on Twitter and generate interest through contests and giveaways. How will you use BookBuzzr?

JJ Botta's Bookstore
Just a site that will list your book for free (well it costs a link from your website).

Book Country
Book Country is a supportive community of fiction writers and readers who offer constructive feedback to help you improve your craft.

Indie Book List
Dedicated to promoting Indie (and not so Indie) authors and their work, one excerpt at a time.

eTLC
Use eTLC to discover the work of independent (Indie) authors. The majority of writing on this cloud is available in a digitalized format, which provides Indies a viable medium to distribute their work. Our focus is self-published material since we believe it remains closer to the "vision" of the writer than work reshaped by publishers with "elusive" marketing goals.

Open Library
Open Library is an open project: the software is open, the data are open, the documentation is open, and we welcome your contribution. Whether you fix a typo, add a book, or write a widget--it's all welcome. We have a small team of fantastic programmers who have accomplished a lot, but we can't do it alone!

Novel Publicity
Are you a newly published author having a difficult time getting your name out there? Are you unsure of how to promote yourself but don’t have the thousands required by big publicity firms? Would you rather be represented by your fellow writer than some big corporation? Novel Publicity is here to help. We offer ala carte author promotion, which means you can pick and choose the services that you want based on your needs and your financial constraints.

Author EMS
Author E.M.S. was born out of a genuine desire to answer the thousands of questions asked by authors every day. Having launched my own debut book less than a year ago, I asked myself–and others–those same questions. It took me two solid months to traverse the jungle that is Facebook, Twitter and blogging. I set up author accounts at Amazon, Goodreads and Shelfari. I was lucky to work with a publisher that offers webinars on social networking and basic online marketing. I learned a lot.

Find A Good Book To Read
A book is a vacation, an adventure, or a path to enlightenment. Books are best friends. Find a Good Book to Read is a website for readers and authors alike. Hosted by author, Wodke Hawkinson, this site contains book lists of titles submitted by their authors or publicists. This gives readers a chance to learn about books they otherwise might not find, and authors a chance to get the word out about their publications.

Guerrilla Wordfare
A good resource for author's to learn about SEO and how it can help them.

Author & Book Promotions

Writing Tips
Indie Beware
Indie Beware is designed specifically to put out alerts for writers much in the same manner as Writer Beware. But while Writer Beware focuses primarily on traditionally-targeted scams, Indie Beware will focus on those scams and questionable activities targeted to self-published writers. In addition, Indie Beware will be doing frequent posts that are geared toward educating indie writers in the traditionally published market, including need-to-know information on how to get an agent, how to handle a publisher contacting you, what do do if you’re offered a contract, and what to look out for in said contracts. We’ll also be covering general publishing industry news, including the news that directly affects self-publishers.

eFiction Magazine
eFiction started as a small group of writers and fiction-enthusiasts getting together online to share stories.
